Art. 1 – Preamble and definitions
Temperatura Monitor (the "App") is an app for Mac, iPhone and iPad developed by psAico srls a socio unico (the "Owner"). On the Mac it shows the temperatures of the sensors and the macOS thermal state. On iPhone and iPad it shows the temperatures of a Mac connected to the same local network or, through iCloud, of a Mac with the same Apple Account, and can alert you when the Mac runs hot. "User" means whoever downloads and uses the App.
Art. 2 – Licence
The App is licensed, not sold. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) and these terms, which supplement it without derogating from it, apply.
Art. 3 – Requirements
- Mac: Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later.
- iPhone and iPad: iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
- To see the temperatures on iPhone and iPad at home: the Mac and the device must be on the same local network, with the App open on the Mac and sharing on.
- To see them away from home and receive alerts: the same Apple Account with iCloud on the Mac and on the device, the iCloud option on on the Mac, the App open on the Mac and the Mac connected to the internet. Alerts must be turned on on iPhone or iPad and require notification permission.
Art. 4 – Nature of the data shown and limitations
- The App shows the temperatures that macOS makes readable to apps distributed on the App Store. The number and kind of sensors depend on the Mac model and the macOS version.
- Apple does not document the exact position of each sensor, so names and groups are indicative. Values may differ from those shown by other tools.
- The values are for information only. They must not be used for safety decisions, hardware diagnostics, warranty claims or service.
- The App does not control the fans and does not change how the Mac works.
- Data shown through iCloud is updated about once a minute and may be delayed or stale if the Mac is off, asleep or offline. Alerts depend on iCloud, on Apple's notification service and on the network: they may arrive late or not at all. They are not a safety tool nor a way to monitor the Mac.
Art. 5 – Free of charge
The App is free and requires no sign-up. It contains no in-app purchases and no advertising. Should the economic terms change in the future, they will be shown on the App Store before download.
Art. 6 – Personal data
The App does not collect personal data. With the iCloud features, the Mac's data is stored in the User's own iCloud space, under Apple's terms, and the Owner has no access to it. Details are in the App's Privacy Policy.
Art. 7 – Availability and updates
The Owner may update the App, change its features or stop distributing it. macOS updates decided by Apple could make some sensors or services unavailable: the Owner undertakes to adapt the App as far as possible, but cannot guarantee it.
Art. 8 – Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for damages arising from the use of the values shown by the App or from an alert that fails to arrive or arrives late, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence. The rights that the law grants consumers in a mandatory way remain unaffected.
Art. 9 – Changes to the terms
The Owner may change these terms. Substantial changes will be communicated with reasonable notice, including through an update of the App. The version in force is always published at this address.
Art. 10 – Contact
For support and communications: info@psaico.it.
Art. 11 – Governing law and jurisdiction
Italian law applies. Disputes with consumers fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile. In all other cases the Court of Trento has exclusive jurisdiction. In case of doubt, the Italian version of these terms prevails.
